Pickleball Schedule
Posted by Larry C on December 16, 2017, 9:19 am
We will play on Mondays, Wendnesdays, and Fridays from 0830 until 1030. There will not be a game on Monday the 25th of Dec or Monday the 1st of Jan. During the school holidays, we may find some wanting to play Basket Ball. However, we doubt they will arrive that early. | ------------------------Re: Pickleball Schedule

Located at the new exercise/basketball park across the yellow bridge, turn left, go onevblock and it is in front of you. Extra racquets available. | ------------------------Re: Pickleball Schedule, Second Shift?

This past summer, I was granted permission to use the new park's basketball court as a pickleball court Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon, figuring that eventually the group might divide into beginner and advanced levels. Although that hasn't happened yet, I understand that an average of ten or eleven people are now rotating in to play doubles on the only court. Because I simply cannot play between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. due to daily online work scheduling, I'm hoping that at least one (singles) or two (doubles) folks will want to play a "second shift" after the first group is done, which would also reduce the number of people waiting to play earlier. I'll be at the pickleball court this coming Monday, December 18, to learn how to take down and store the net, with Art's approval. Please stay for a few minutes after 10:30 a.m., or arrive then, if you would like to begin at that hour in the future. I can also play on Thursdays. Thanks!

When I asked for permission to use the court, I told the "powers that be" that the pickleball players would abdicate it during vacation periods so that the kids who are out of school can use it in the mornings. While I agree with Larry C that they probably won't be there at 8:30 a.m., they might want to play basketball somewhat later, during the hours of my proposed "second shift." So I've decided to postpone my recruiting effort until the second week of January, by which time I'll be free on both Monday and Friday mornings. Meanwhile, please contact me through the white envelope next to my name if you would prefer to play pickleball when the earlier group finishes beginning Monday, January 8. Apologies in advance to anyone who shows up tomorrow morning (12/18) at 10:30 a.m. to discuss this matter. | ------------------------Re: Pickleball Schedule, Second Shift?

Beginning next Monday, January 15, I will take responsibility for putting away the net if anyone else wants to begin or continue playing at 10:00 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays--or whichever of those days there are at least three other people willing to play the "second shift." (I'm also willing to play singles.) Then I'll make a bilingual sign to inform the community of our pickleball schedule through the end of the season. If you can't show up next Monday but would like to play at 10 o'clock, feel free to email me (white envelope) or call (315) 351 5395 (local landline). Thanks. | ------------------------Re: Pickleball Schedule

Didn't think I would be coming to LAM this winter but plans have changed. Coming down in mid-Feb for a few weeks. I will bring some new balls to donate to the local PB crew. What kind does everyone like. I usually play with ONIX Pure II's but I know some people don't like them. Please let me know - happy to contribute. | ------------------------Re: Pickleball Schedule

We arrive in Boca Beach and are wondering if there is a place to play Pickleball? I saw your posting. Is there a drop in or other organized PB in LaM? Can we join in? Lorrie | ------------------------
