Morning glory and moon flower seeds
Posted by Brenda on January 10, 2018, 7:46 am
Any leads on finding seeds for morning glories and moonflowers? I am looking to plant such quick and aggressive seeds in pots to transform a rough looking cement and palapa structure to a verdant oasis. I can only find veggie seeds in la Manz. Thanks gardeners for steering me in the right direction Brenda 9709305898 or brendabeth1942@comcast.net. Can't stop myself from endless nesting! | ------------------------Re: Morning glory and moon flower seeds

You sure? These are invasive plants. Careful what you wish for. | ------------------------Re: Morning glory and moon flower seeds

Brenda, I might look around locally to see what vines are thriving here that you might collect seeds or cuttings from. If it's for on the beach you might look at plants that are growing in those same conditions. There is a native morning glory relative I have seen growing on fences, and a legume with a purple flower that you might like. I have found flower and herb seeds at the veterinary store on the jardin in Melaque. | ------------------------Re: Morning glory and moon flower seeds

I have a vine that is growing like no buddies business. If you walk up concha molida to our stairs you can take a cutting. Really hardy and grows like crazy and pretty purple flowers. | ------------------------Re: Morning glory and moon flower seeds

Thanks for the tips. Yes to everything. These seeds will be iplastic buckets in a concrete bunkerlike space with an A frame shaped palapa roof with concrete vertical supports. I am going for the charming abandoned lot effect. Minus basura. I used to see these plants and will keep searching for them in the hood. I live back of the la vaquita feliz so it is off beach. I got philodendron cuttings from Sandia. I promised myself a vacation from garden obsession. Is there a lesson in this? Am I veering off topic? | ------------------------
