The earliest post I found was from a 14 Dec 2015 Twitter post
Next earliest result was Dec 18, 2015 on the Reddit account of Proteon.
No clue in the comments as to where it came from.
next earliest was Apr 15, 2016 on a site I never heard of called The daily Scrabbble.
Each photo has a link to its source (sweet!). Its an imgr account with the
date of Dec 13 2015 with a total of 8 views so it is probably pretty close
to the source. I don't know how to look up who posted it or if that is
even possible.

I used Google image search using that URL and got these results
On the ETSy site there is lots of jewlry made from beach glass.
Put Sea Glass Christmas tree into a search engine and you get
lots of stuff!
It was posted on this site 2 years ago but the source link goes nowhere
There are sites where you can buy beach glass
Have you ever wondered how magical the beach would be if no one ever took
anything off it? Thousands upon thousands of beautiful shells, each
to be appreciated and then put back where it was found.
