It’s Saint Patrick’s Day this Saturday, March 17 and Chef Dave is sharing some of his Irish heritage helping Lora Loka by supplying recipes for an Irish dinner and party with a live Celtic Band “Triskele”, playing through dinner.
THREE COURSE ST. PATTY’S MENU
APPETIZER COURSE
Prawn & Asparagus Pasta with a Cream and Shrimp Veloute
(this would be considered modern Irish)
MAIN COURSE
Baked Ham with a Pineapple Mustard Glaze(also a bit mod)
Real Irish Butter-Roasted Potatoes and Scallion Tails
Scorched Irish Cabbage, Roasted Carrots & Braised Tomato
DESSERT COURSE
Pineapple Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing
Mmmm!
Three courses 250 pesos per person
Jameson’s Whiskey and Irish Coffees at the bar. Being seasonally summer-like for a normally rainy March 17th in Ireland we are bring out the Double Vodkas & Tonic with Lime (or Gin) for only 50 pesos. You know they have 11 different words to describe the rain in Ireland. (Inuit have 16 for snow).
We will be missing our Irish friend Maedb this year. She will be here in our hearts, always.
Everyone is invited for 6:30 with dinner served at 7:30. The Celtic Trio will play from 7:30 to 8:30. Chef Dave also has a good repertoire of Irish folk songs and Irish modern to help celebrate St. Patty’s. He will fit his songs in before and after the band is done. Knowing Dave, he’ll play late into the evening if there are folks there to have fun.
Please come by and get your name on a table so Lora and Dave can plan the quantities for Dinner. Don’t delay it’s filling up!
IT’S A PARTY!
