I went to the Fuerzas Unicas (the Jalisco state police, who are supposedly there to protect the peace) and complained. They said they'd go check it out. I went for a walk, then a swim, and they still hadn't come. I went to them again and asked who was above them because I wanted to file a denuncia for impeding access on a public street. They never answered, just said they'd go talk to the guards when they finished breakfast. I didn't wait around.
Obviously they've been bought, or told not to do anything. Our lawyer is working on getting an authority to come, who can legally open the road.
Meanwhile, workers here are going to continue to go in by boat and make a large palapa which will eventually be a restaurant. And someone is staying there to make sure Rodenas doesn't pull out the posts, or burn the ramada.
ON August 4 it will be 8 years of fighting for justice in Tenacatita. To clarify, the company behind this is Inmobiliaria Rodenas. They own a private security company called Sepromex (hence the pickup truck on the beach), which pays the guards who are impeding our passage. We don't know who is behind Rodenas (Salinas Gortari?, Aristotoles?, Ricardo Hernandez?), but obviously it's someone(s) with deep pockets.
It's time for this to be resolved once and for all.
