When we have giant waves and the condition they call mar de fondo, seaweed gets pulled off the rocks and winds up on the beach. Last year I collected quite a bit - laid it out to dry, watered it to get rid of the salt (and luckily it even got rained on) - let it dry again and bagged it up. Some went in the ground, some in the compost and 2 tambos got filled with seaweed and water. After sitting for several months, I use the water (diluted) as fertilizer (in the ground or foliar). Full of all those good ocean minerals.
One person's problem is another person's solution.
