Today I heard some of the locals say that this is the start of the 'Malecon' (malicon), or breakwater (walkway?) whose development has been rumored for several years now. The beginning of our small boat harbor?
I hope what I heard is wrong and are we ready for this one if it is true? Who can we ask? The Delegado or Ejido leadership perhaps?
Has the effect on our LM shore been studied and will it be done with some foresight? Or will we have another Barra loss of beach or a positive change.
In the past there use to be a few rocks on the beach, at least this is what some locals report. And we had sand. Once the arroyo started being dredged, they say, this started the accumulation of rocks on the shoreline during the summer and loss of sand. The question is, is this true? If it is true, was this foresight?
Something to ponder about on our hot, quiet summer drone days, the good, the bad and the ugly, lol. Cruz
