Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant is now called Restaurant Marlin. It's being run by Irene's daughter Ludi, who has had the concession for years on the beach next to the lagoon opening. Some may remember Ludi's pizzeria, which was near the crucero in years past.
We went there today to find out what's happening and found Ludi's sister Maithé cooking up a storm. I tasted her dipping sauce for the coconut shrimp that was bubbling in the big pot, and it was delicious - redolent of the guayaba and pineapple that are ingredients.
The restaurant will be open from now on, 9 am- 6 pm every day. Tomorrow's specials will be Rollo Del Mar with Almendra sauce, and Momias - prawns stuffed with cheese, wrapped with bacon, and deep-fried.
There is a vegetarian menu as well, and cocktails and beer are available.
