This year's Cisco's Amigos clinics were outstanding. During our 3 days in La Manzanilla we spayed / neutered 80 dogs and 42 cats. 39 of the dogs were male -an amazing show of "macho intelligence".
We raised(and had a small surplus from 2015) a total of $52,850ps ($2,821 usd). The clinic cost $41,408ps($2,211 usd). Pretty cheap for 122 animals. Even Canada is more expensive than that!!
The 4 days in Barra brought in 221 furry friends. 154 dogs and 67 cats. 77 of those were males. Cost was $45,565ps($2,434 usd).
So the grand total was 343 spayed and neutered . We should all be very proud.
Cisco's Amigos wants to thank all of the volunteers that put in long hours helping make this happen. A special thanks to Pam in La Manz and Gayle and Linda in Barra . Their work as the overseers of recovery assure the safe recovery of the animals after surgery . Marcia as always opens her home to the Vets here in La Manz and also works in surgery. She makes the vets happy to work and happy to go home. Thank you Marcia. Katherine organizes the volunteers in La Manzanilla and makes my work easier. I could not do it without you. Thank you.
The volunteers that made food for the workers and the Vets deserve a huge pat on the back. The food was great and everyone certainly enjoyed it. Thank you Paula from Barra for letting the Vets stay in your beautiful condo. They had a real vacation before heading to Manzanillo for 4 more days of surgery. There are many more that deserve thank you's. Cisco's could not happen if it were not for those who want to make a difference in our community for the families and their pets.
Rusty and I are glad to be back and will be back next year.
Thank you all for your support and making it such a huge help to our beautiful town. It really shows Julie

I need to make a correction to my post. The cost of the Barra clinic was actually $54,565($2,904usd). I woke up in the middle of the night realizing I had put in the cost of the building in Barra as 1,000ps not the $10,000 pesos it actually was.
