I remember walking down "main street" when it was still just a dirt road -- not long ago.
I remember when the underground installation of the sewer line happened -- not long ago (2012?). Prior to that the whole town relied on septic tanks.
I remember when flooding from a rainstorm caused washouts on Hwy 200 necessitating the building of two bridges. The building of the bridge at the turnoff to La Manz unintentionally resulted in the crushing of the sewer line running to the treatment facility east of Hwy 200 -- last year.
I understand that mechanical equipment needs adequate maintenance and periodic rebuilding and replacement -- and that costs money.
I am fully cognizant of how little I pay in property taxes towards La Manz's infrastructure, public schools, garbage collection, policing, and citizens.
There are individual problems to be faced and solved. The lagoon self-drains after every rainy season -- that is a given. We can do our part to resolve the other issues.
