I am looking for the ukulele community of La Manzanilla. Rumour has it you are out there! Why? So it turns out that I have organized a Ukulele Holiday that will be happening in Melaque Nov 12-19. We have the great fortune of hosting Ben Hassenger (Lansing, Michigan - the founder of Mighty Uke Day). In addition to teaching morning classes, Ben will be hosting open mics and strums most evenings. Our "big" concert will be on Saturday November 17th at Viva Maria in Melaque. You are all invited. My reason for writing is to feel out the possibility of coming to La Manzanilla one evening - can anyone host an event for us? Do you have a regular night that you meet to play that we can parachute into (we will be approx. 10 people). There are some logistics (mainly transportation) that may make it difficult... but it would be great to make it happen. Our group is from across the US and Canada and it should be a whole lot of fun! If you are interested in joining classes in Melaque, please contact me to discuss the cost and commitment (we invite locals to join if they are able to commit to 4 classes - we are concerned that drop ins would be distracting - class will be from 10am-12pm (Tuesday Nov 13th, Wednesday 14th, Friday 16th and Saturday 17th). Let's Play and Play! Didi learningonvacation.com/ukulele
