They print them every few years so they can get discounted pricing for large runs. There are lots of elementary school kids in La Manzanilla. When my son was in 1-3 grade he had 48 classmates! Large classrooms, one teacher per classroom and not a lot of materials available for students. La Catalina also does a school supply drive each year.
So far, we have received donations from nine people for a total of 5,583 pesos! We are a quarter of the way to our goal. We still need to raise 17,309 pesos to cover the children’s English text books for La Manzanilla students. To make a donation, click here: http://www.lacatalinafoundation.org/donate/ Donations can also be left in our office with Donaldo M-F between 4pm-7pm. Thanks for your participation in helping La Manzanilla youth become bilingual.

Thanks to the 21 individuals (including Brenda!) who have donated a total of 16461.29 pesos. We are now just 6340 pesos away from reaching the goal to payoff the textbook printing costs. Still two more days to DONATE
