Some Photos

I had to go check the goats so I took a few photos. I am sure there will be many more on Fakebook. The rio On the road in front of the Casino it was over the curbs! I really should not have driven through as it was very deep, but I am not a smart man. There was a guy at the Lagoon with a shovel who had just opened up the Lagoon. I think if there would have been a ditch dug prior to the big rain it would have worked out ok.

I have been following the beach cam but until you showed these photos and the beach photos did not realize the extent of what all that rainfall did. Glad to hear you are safe and sound. | -----------------Re: Some Photos

WOW....I'm coming to La Manzanilla for the first time in 1 month, wondering about flooding in the cottages 1-2 blocks from beach? are people displaced as a result of the flooding? Any & all info appreciated! Regards, JoelT | -----------------Re: Some Photos

No displacements I know of. One month of La Manzanilla time is equal to 3 months of world time, i.e. one month is so far in the future who knows what will be then. Confidence is high that you will fall in love, so get ready for that, if that is possible. | -----------------Re: Some Photos

Joel, the likelihood is that, in a month, EVERYthing will be different on the beach (except for Daniel and his hospitality)and in the village . Things will be dried out; damage to roads will be repaired, and businesses will be back on track. In my experience, the Mexicans do not fall prey to drama the way many of us non-Mexicans do. They observe, they clean up, they move on . . . meanwhile, I'm wringing my hands and trying to figure out how to get the hot water back on! | -----------------Re: Some Photos
