donation door to door

A woman came to our house today looking for a donation for her daughter who has cancer and needs chemotherapy. I asked if she had the letter from the delegado confirming the situation, and she said that she would go get one. Anyone else have her knock at your door? Just trying to figure out the thing. | -----------------Re: donation door to door

Hola, S. You did the correct thing. Donation solicitors should have a letter from the Delgado's office that supposedly verifies the legitimacy of their situation and their request for assistance. Cruz | -----------------Re: donation door to door

Did not see this lady but I did get approached by a man who said he is from Melaque and needs money because his kidneys are not good. I also asked him to go to the Delegado and get the letter because in the past I was scammed so many tines by people with "letters" from their Dr. saying their child had brain cancer or many other things. So now I will not give money to anyone who has not first gone to the Delegado. Linda Mandala | -----------------
