Art in the Jardin

Hello, Last year's art event in the jardin was a lovely opportunity for people to show their arts and crafts. Those artists, who's work is better shown in their studios, was available too. It was a suitable format that allowed a number of other folks to participate. I have heard that exhibitors were pleased. It was festive, fun, and popular with both locals and visitors from other towns. It would be a great loss to many people. I would gladly help in any way I can to make this happen this year. I'm sure there are others too that would help. Let's rally! Make it fun! Positive feedback appreciated. you are not alone in wanting an event for artists in the jardin... perhaps you are alone in energy to make it happen... i am busy enough running a store and a workshop... but you could make it happen and there are many others who would join... | -----------------Re: Art in the Jardin 2018

Thanks for initiating this idea, Pat, and for volunteering. The Art Walks of past years and the Fiesta of last year were great opportunities for artists, craftspeople and art lovers as well. It was a lot of work to pull one of these events off, and when it's held during the day, on the Jardin, you have to arrange for shade, stands, easels, display booths, refreshments, etc. - all for one day. So this year there's the new idea of the Art Crawl, held in businesses that already have walls, display stands, lighting, etc. Let's support this initiative, and then make suggestions as to how more artists and craftspeople can participate as it evolves. The first one is next Tues., Jan. 8 in the evening, and two more are planned for this season. See you there!
