This afternoon we went to fill up at the Pemex across from Cowboy, as you approach Melaque. A few cars there filling at the same time, but currently no issues getting gasoline. Same at stations going to ZLO yesterday, a friend told me. More of an issue where there are a lot of stations closer together up near Guadalajara and some large, urban centres. | -----------------Re: Gas Shortage

Translation of the link below. "Pemex accepted on Saturday that it suffers a delay in the distribution of fuel, generated by the decision to take the gasoline for safer transport. The company said that this decision, which was taken as part of the federal government's plan to combat fuel theft, affected delivery logistics to service stations. The measure has affected Hidalgo, the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato and Querétaro, the company said. Pemex stressed that there is no shortage of the product or price speculation. "Our storage and dispatch terminals have enough inventory to meet the demand of the population," he said. To face the delay in the delivery of fuel, Pemex said that the distribution in the affected states increased by 20 percent through auto-tanks and tank cars . The company also asked the population not to make extraordinary purchases of gasoline. "Pemex appeals to the understanding and support of society, because with these measures the company seeks to avoid economic losses by the so-called 'huachicoleo'," the company said." http://www.elfinanciero.com.mx/nacional/pemex-admite-desabasto-de-gasolina-y-argumenta-que-es-por-medidas-contra-huachicoleo Source

The gas shortage apparently extends to propane gas as well. Global Gas in Cihuatlán is not answering calls, and is now closed for lack of propane. We just watched a news program from Guadalajara in which the governor of Jalisco says the problem is worsening, and there is no solution being offered by PEmex. | ----------------- |
