Meditation and Inquiry group
Posted by Eva on January 12, 2019, 6:46 pm
Hi, Our Meditation and Non-dual group met today at 2 p.m. at Casa Luz. After sharing our meditation backgrounds and what we are looking for, we came up with a new name and a format for next week (and future sessions) 1. We’ll be called Meditation and Inquiry Group. 2. We will meet regularly for 1 1/2 hours upstairs at Casa Luz from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays. 3. Next week we will have a silent meditation, then inquiry, then a metta session, followed by a sharing. A poem or several quotes will be read at the beginning and at the end of the session. 4. Leadership and format can change weekly, depending upon the wishes of the group. If you are interested in being part of this group, please e-mail me at Eva.ticktin@gmail.com and I will put you on the e-mail list. Eva

Hi, Anyone interested in meditation and inquiry is welcome to come on Saturday to Casa Luz at 2 p.m. Inquiry is generally done in dyads and is designed to bring you into the present moment. It can take several forms, including answering the same question repeatedly (but not from the mind). It can also take the form of just being mindful. People like Almaas and those who teach The Enlightenment Intensive use inquiry as their main mode of bringing people into the present moment. Our hour and a half session will include a silent meditation, inquiry, a loving kindness meditation and discussion. There will also be several poems or quotes shared. Warmly, Eva | -----------------
