And, as long as the proper use of language is concerned, I have been saddened for some years of the loss of the word healthful. Now, even in dictionaries the word healthy is used for the word healthful. Consider: tomatoes are healthy. Does that mean that those tomatoes are free of disease or pests, or does that mean they are healthful for us humans to eat? We have lost, or are losing a distinction.
OK, enough of that. But I do want to say that my flimsy ability to communicate in Spanish has made me very grateful to have a language with all its subtleties and nuances.
