It is refreshing and wholesome to see the Mexican community taking over and solving this infrastructure challenge. There have been many meetings with federal, state and municipal government officials; they are all aware of our situation here. Whatever work is being done now will only enhance the promised govt. project. It is a only a question of WHEN the Fed, State funds arrive. In the meantime, semana santa and the rainy season are coming.
We Canadians and Americans live in this paradise and hardly pay any taxes for our infrastructure. How much MUST we pay in our home countries? It is rare to volunteer to pay taxes, but that we must if we want a clean beach and streets in our paradise!
The question is HOW? 1)Lety has opened a way to pay in her office. 2) I would like to provide a use of PAYPAL.
It will be under my other email "obergmj@yahoo.com". Someone informed me that there is a box to click to donate to "friends and family" and the 4% fee is waived. If you are in LaManzanilla, you can also donate in the "Caja Popular", The CARCAMO ACCT # 1- 6538.
I am still using that account to pay Teco, our cleaner and caretaker every day, of the pumps and floats etc. 3) Thank you to Carol Lopez who has opened up a way to e-pay in Canada. See Lety's previous message.
Thank you to all who are reading the message board and are willing to participate in the health and well being of our own village. We are all a team and together we can make good things happen!
