Re: Counter-top oven no longer works
I have been very impressed how repair guys in Mexico know how to fix things that are routinely thrown away in the US. I grew up in my Grandfather and Fathers machine shops learning how to rebuild almost anything. They were machinists and engineers. That is pretty much going away in the US. When visiting Melaque I noticed a small appliance repair shop near the square. I watched a fellow rewinding an armatures from a dishwasher's electric motor. They had large spools of various diameter copper wire for that purpose. I doubt there are many if any places that still do that in the US.
