Here are a few of the dogs up for adoption at Second Chance -- Dog Rescue Center. If you are interested in meeting one of these sweethearts, please comment here; message the Second Chance Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/secondvalentin/ visit Valentin at the Second Chance booth at Friday's market or call Valentin at 315-115-4186. Let's help give these dogs a Second Chance. Thank you. This sweetheart is ready for her forever home. Quita is a happy girl who loves to be pet. Sonrisa is a fun, playful and sometimes timid girl looking for her forever home. She actually does greet you with a sonrisa (or smile in English) India's heart of gold will surely win you over. This playful girl would also make an awesome companion for walks. The bros....Trico and Kori are shy brothers looking for their forever home. They can be adopted together or separately. They are 3 months old and super sweet. Chata is a gentle and playful girl looking for her forever home. She would make a loving companion.

I'm wondering . . . who is this voice which speaks for Second Chance? | -------------------Re: Dogs for Adoption

Perhaps the voice would like to remain anonymous. Valentine's dogs are looking for homes which is the focus here. Please spread the word and help find them new forever homes! | -------------------Re: Dogs for Adoption

Yes, Jean, some people are all talk and no Action. Let's find these cuties new homes instead of wasting time asking questions in outdated English. | -------------------Forgive me Ladies

I'm not sure why my inquiry brought about these reprimands, but my understanding about this message board is that anonymity is not permissible. When a certain woman makes posts on behalf of a certain spa and a certain restaurant, she identifies herself -- seems reasonable that the same might apply here. | -------------------Re: Dogs for Adoption

I don't understand why you say the voice would want to remain anonymous, Jean? We're all in favour of helping the animals. I have rehomed 5 dogs to Canada already this year and am feeding at least a dozen every day and taking them to the vet. Most of my own money except for a few donations to buy dogfood. My friend and I have trapped 8 cats and taken them for spay and neutering. She paid for them all. | -------------------Re: Dogs for Adoption

Yes Norma, I know all the wonderful things you have done. And a great job also! Perhaps some people like to be anonymous, maybe not. I think it's better to focus on the task at hand!! Let's get these awesome doggies adopted!!!! How much is that doggie in the window?? Just love, just love..baby!!

Unfortunately Westjet has raised their fees for dogs to $200 from $75, so I won't be taking any extras back this year. Last year I took 2 junkyard dogs back and found wonderful homes for them. I am glad that Valentin was able to spay and neuter those pups. That is a big part of the solution. If homes aren't found for them, they become part of a sanctuary at Valentin's. My opinion is that it is a longshot that they will be adopted. I hope I am proven wrong. It is cheaper on Alaska Air for the Americans wanting wonderful dogs. Please think of doing it and even if you don't want a dog, these Mexican dogs are very special and you will have no problem finding homes for them. Ask your friends and they can pay the fare. In my experience Big Crates are hard to find here and expensive. Next year I will bring lots down as Westjet considers them humanitarian aid and they go for free. So all you Canadians, bring big crates down, please! | -------------------
