Thanks so much for noticing this, Guylaine, and posting the pictures. And Lawrence, yes, I would like to see more people consider building an enclosure for their recycling and garbage. The enclosure has quite a few practical advantages as well as looking attractive. I will post some close-up pictures, and explain how this got started, in another thread later today.

Is there some place for the general public to drop off recycling? I believe I read plastic milk jugs, etc were now being recycled. Is this true? | -------------------Recycling News That You Can Use – February 2019

Saturday February 16th was the FIRST day of curbside recycling! The small garbage truck that operates out of La Manzanilla picked up a full load of recyclables that were dropped off at Las Hormigas recycle site behind the Primary school. Thanks to everyone that participated and gave feedback. La Huerta has promised delivery of a larger truck dedicated to recycling. Once it arrives this larger vehicle can do the full route through town for recyclables every Saturday starting at around 7 a.m.. Please place all recyclables in a reusable container in front of your home where you put your regular trash can. Please do not use trash bags LA MANZANILLA RECYCLABLES: Mixed Plastic: all plastic bottles that contained water, soda, milk, juice, or cleaning products. Lisa...just wondering if it is a help for us who are able to bring our recyclables over to las Hormigas...there it seems since we are separating into different containers it would save a lot of work separating the stuff that gets pickec up all mixed together on the truck that will be coming around. I I jdumped mine all into one container (which is still there...but waiting for the new truck...hopefully they will come across the arroyo) but I am also able to just bring everything over to the yard so it will not need separating later. What is your advice on this? Linda | -------------------
