Sad sight in the bay?

Looks to us like there a huge dead whale in our bay. Several pongas going out to look at the situation. First time we've seem anything like this in our 21 years. From what we can tell there are huge cuts that suggest propeller blades from a cargo or cruise ship might of been the killer. Very very sad. Please verify if anyone has more info. | -------------------Re: Sad sight in the bay?

It looks like it's being pulled towards Tenacatita, maybe eventually making its way towards the other side to the wild beach. Slow progress!

Change of course.........just saw the boat racing back towards town. Looks like the whale was let go between the old hotel and Boca. | -------------------Re: Sad sight in the bay?

I live in Oregon, and have heard reports of dead whales washing up all along Oregon Washington and California coastlines recently. So very sad! | -------------------Re: Sad sight in the bay?

The number of dead gray whales is way up on the west coast, but that appears to be a function of numbers of live gray whales. The dead ones seem to be malnourished. What I heard a few day's ago is the the Ejido buried the whale on the beach down by the old hotel, with the intention of digging it up sometime in the future and using the skeleton in the Crocodile museum. Level of confidence in this info 70% | -------------------ejido no

Haven't noticed any giant grave on the beach and there's no fishy decomposing smell in the area, land or sea! Why is it so difficult to get the real story?! | -------------------Re: What I heard... Saw

There is definitely a carcass of some sort on the beach, just north of the ruins. | ------------------- |
