Drinking water

I'm at the airport in Mexico City, killing time for 4 hours, so I go into a restaurant just to sit comfortably and have a snack. I ask for 'in vaso con agua'... Any other drink here is way overpriced. The waiter brings a bottle of water. I say no, I want a glass of water from the garafon, or some filtered water in a glass, as it's a waste of plastic to consume a bottle of water, and just leave it there. Finally, he brings me a plastic glass filled with water.(even though other customers are drinking mixed alcoholic drinks served in glass (vidrio) Oh, well. | -------------------Re: Drinking water

Good job Carol! Your commitment to opening this conversation plants seeds for growing awareness. Others in restaurants may start asking for "un vaso de agua de garrafon" and servers will catch on. Most importantly you have provided the reasons why...too much consumption of plastic! Gracias Carol, and may the force be with you. | -------------------Re: Drinking water

Your comments just stopped me from buying a plastic rake I had been considering. | -------------------
