fire

Just a reminder to everybody that it is really dry out there. If you smell smoke, go check that someone is there burning, watching the fire. This morning, I waited after I smelled smoke, assuming that someone was burning intentionally. Then I got worried that maybe that was not the case.....went up the road, and the hill was on fire, and it had reached the edge of the road, in between two houses. It was spreading really fast. Long story short, we got the fire out, but are keeping an eye on the hill for the next while. Smell smoke = go check. | -------------------Re: fire

Living in California half the year has made us VERY aware of fire protection for our homes. Everything burns so please look around your home and make sure you have cleared a "defensible" space. I have walked the hills lately and am very little shocked as to the underbrush that has not been cleared and has so much "fuel" on the ground so close to homes. Take a lesson from Napa and Paradise California. It's really scary and can happen in minutes. Be Fire Safe!!! | -------------------Re: fire

The fire was on one of the hills, not far up behind the primeria. | -------------------
