A good friend recommended this app to move money to Intercam, you get live market rate - I just locked in at 19.8966. No more ATM problems! If you want to get larger amounts, just present your ATM card to the Intercam cashier. You can get up to US$10,000 per day. https://transferwise.com/ | -------------------Re: Transferwise

I have used Transferwise to pay deposits on rentals in La Manzanilla also - no problem getting it to the homeowner's account, and inexpensive. | -------------------Re: Transferwise

Are we talking about Intercam in Melaque? Would I need a US$ account at the branch? Or just a cdn bankcard and is there a US$ option??? | -------------------Re: Transferwise

TransferWise is a company that sends money from one bank account to another and does the exchange rate for currency differences with the posted mid-market rate (the one you see if you look in-line). They also have a very low fee structure. It can be any bank you have an account at in Mexico if that's where you are sending money. Intercam or Banamex in Melaque as examples. You have to set up the accounts at both ends with TransferWise to make the transfers. Their website lays it out very well if you follow the link that Elke posted originally (which I will repeat here https://transferwise.com/). Or you can use this invite link from me.transferwise.com/u/jamesf750 ;-) You do need an account at the Mexican bank as well as your Canadian (or USA) bank.
