New hotel?

Does anyone know if that's a hotel being built up the road from what was known as the cultural center? Looks like they cleared lots of land. Just wondering. | ------------------Re: New hotel?

Hi Jean, I am not sure where the so called cultural center is located (where is it?), but the OXXO representative said a few weeks ago, when we brought up our concerns about the design of the OXXO store: “ But you are getting that big hotel anyway.....” We didn’t know, and still don’t, if he meant the Four Seasons Hotel or a major hotel right in town. I will try to find out, but meanwhile maybe someone else knows? Also, I have written before that I have seen Tamarindo trucks going towards Boca, passing Valentina’s, along the beach road by the mangrove. Not sure what that means, one can only speculate... Buen día! Anneli

I think you most probably mean the construction which is above and to the side of my property. It came to a halt a few weeks ago for some reason. I never heard that it was going to be a hotel but a five level house/ apartment block? Another engineering faux pas? | ------------------Re: New hotel?

AHHHHH, go figure. Sad to see another concrete hillside, should be restrictions. But, $ talks. Thanks for info Mazinka Anneli, I think the gentleman is referring to 4 seasons. I don't see anything big being done Boca end. Although I have heard something about condos going up in Boca$ True or not, time will tell$ But hey, they're destroying everything else around, why wouldn't they screw up Boca?$

Last Feb March many big trucks of sand going towards Boca on beach road. When I asked was told a hotel half way to Boca on beach and sure enough there are roads on those lots now. One lot is a new huge much needed camp ground. Pretty funny when $200 a night guests need to wheelbarrow their luggage over swinging bridge due to annual road washout !! Or maybe kayak the road as neighbour Paul did in October! | ------------------
