Whales singing today also

Buenas tardes. Just to mention that i heard the whales singing again today. Still very faint, as they must be far away. But as they get closer, the song will get louder. To hear them, share in this, connects one with the universe. (And, ticks off something on ones bucket list). I will accompany you to hear them, if youd like. Ann

How marvelous ❤️ When and where might be the best chance to hear the singing? | ------------------Re: Whales singing today also

Just go out beyond the breaking waves so you dont hear them. And not near motors etc. Put your ears below the surface of the water. Floating is good or whatever position to let you concentrate on listening. You will hear them. But its faint now. Its a faint song. Lower and gradually rises. Then higher with a rise. I can go with, to help you distinguish if you want. Its so exciting to anticipate their arrival this way. Once it was sooo tremendously loud i thought i must be right over them! (id swum out a bit). Got worried theyd surface! But the sound travels so far, i probably wasnt over them, just nearish. Ps. Even though its cool outside, the water temp is bathtub. | ------------------Re: Whales singing today also

I am curious to know if you have heard the whales sing recently. I just arrived in la Manzanilla. | ------------------Re: Whales singing today also

The short is no. 😔 I heard them for two days straight 👏 and since then, nothing. I swim every day. It could be that a distant pod ( because it was very faint) was heading south at that time. Or it could be various other reasons. Ill report the second i get back to shore if i hear them. But i recommend going out right then to listen. As for other marine encounters: Ive loved swimming with the huge schools of fish. I swim about a meter above them and keep up with them. I then dive down to swim amongst them, but they just move lower. They dont scatter or flee. Then i return to the surface and they return to a meter below me and we continue on. Then i try to go down and touch one. Again they dont scatter or flee, just lower. ( just kindly waiting on me to behave myself?). We keep up this dance all along the coast. When i stop, they disappear. Then when i begin, they return, swimming just a meter below me! Such an experience. I also see tropical fish of wonderful colors. Not tons but its so great. If any want to come along, youre welcome. I usually have one or two folk with me. One key, dont do the crawl. Swim like a fish👏🐠🐟
