Charity Series StorySlam on Monday, January 20, from 7 to 9 at Casa Luz

Here’s your chance to tell a story. No theme. This is a friendly competition with 5 silent judges selected from the audience. Like with diving, the top and bottom scores will be thrown out. You will have 5 minutes to tell your story, followed by a 30 second grace period. After 5 and a half minutes, one point will be deducted for every 10 complete seconds. You can tell your story, but to encourage participation, another option is to read your story. If you do read your story from notes or a devise, 1.5 points will be deducted from your total score. We will have 5 winners, and each winner can donate to whatever charity or community situation they want. No need to contact me, just show up at the door and sign up. Other events coming up: The Writer’s Group “Write on!” Thursday, February 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 at Casa Luz. The Charity Series Invitational Reading Monday, February 17, from 7 to 9 at Casa Luz. | ------------------Re: Charity Series StorySlam on Monday, January 20, from 7 to 9 at Casa Luz

Forgot to push this up yesterday as a reminder. Also, for the Invitational Reading on Monday, February 17th, we have, among others, Ann Wheeler and Alice Walker signed up. | ------------------
