Belly Dance on the Beach

Hi there, I'm posting to see if there is any interest. I'm thinking about having them at the end of the beach near Crocodile Bar & Cabañas around 9am one or two days a week, before it gets too hot. Suggested donation $100pesos with proceeds going to the Ambulance Fund. Please let me comment here, email me at camelsinthebackroom@hotmail.com I'd love to hear from you! ~~~~~ Kathleen (also known as @jinglebutt) has been teaching the basics of belly dance since 2003 and has taken many years of dance training including ballet and modern, and has her Level 1 Teacher Certification with Hadia. She started belly dancing with Aziza Habib and Sharifa in Calgary in 1997 and continues her training through ongoing classes and workshops. Her instructors have included Hossam Ramzy and Serena Ramzy, Dina, Rhanda Kamal, Asi Haskal, Suhaila Salimpur, Hadia, Nervine Kerbes, Rhama Haddad, Rachel Brice, Tahia, Jumanah, Denise Enan, Nath Keo, Hind, Amir Thaleb, Crystal Wheran, Sherry McIntosh, and Lacey Sanchez. Kathleen has participated in Shimmy Mob since it began in 2011 and has been Team Leader for Delburne Shimmy Mob since 2013, raising funds and awareness for Delburne SAFE Families. Shimmy Mob is an international event with thousands of dancers participating in teams all over the world. Our primary objective is to raise donations and awareness for women and children’s shelters in our local area. Our secondary purpose is to share the beauty of belly dance in a fun, flashmob-type event on World Belly Dance Day (the second Saturday in May). We all wear the same t-shirt, and perform the same choreography. Visit Shimmy Mob for more information and to register for the 2020 event. | ----------------Re: Belly Dance on the Beach

Thanks for your interest! I’m not sure about the tide, it’s been very high in the mornings... Does anyone know if it would be ok if we danced in the jardin? | ----------------Re: Belly Dance on the Beach

For all those interested, I’ve decided to hold the first class on Wednesday, February 12 at 5:30pm on the beach just south of Crocodile Bar. Unfortunately the tide is too high right now to have the class in the morning. I hope to see you there! | ----------------Re: Belly Dance on the Beach

Hi, Kathleen, Two elderly cousins, active but with varying amounts of flab, will be arriving in LaM next week. Would your class be appropriate for those with extremely movable, extended bellies? | ----------------Re: Belly Dance on the Beach
