Adopting dogs

I’ve noticed a few posts for dogs that need to get adopted prior to their foster parents returning back home. I’ve brought 2dogs back to Canada this year and it’s easy so please consider it!!! Steps to follow: A) secure space on plane (WestJet is $100 for in cabin, $200 in hold.) Airline can give you “space” specs if in cabin. B) ensure dog has Rabies shot (approx 400 pesos) puppies under a certain age don’t need it. Also associated paper work. Dr Abram or Beto does this on the spot or by appt. C)get a crate or soft sided carrier . Dr Abram./Beto can help...my crate for Med dog was 1000 p. FromAbram. Also look at Walmart D) get the pooch and off you go!! If you are going through Canada you MAY have to pay an Animal inspection fee$35 C.. Canadian entry with a dog iis fantastic! Much easier than entering Mexico. E) my experience is with West Jet only and they are amazing. They will not take off until you have a “chit” indicating your dog is on board. Please consider taking “someone “ home either for yourself or a friend. | ----------------Re: Adopting dogs (and Cats too!)

Thank you for posting, Joanne! Yes, it really is as easy as described All that is needed is rabies vaccination if the animal is older than 4 months. If they are younger, a health certificate is good so customs knows the age of the animal. (Guess on the side of younger) You can put more than one dog or cat in a crate. And these amazing dogs and cats will be forever grateful! | ----------------
