Pearls, Miel de Maguey
Posted by Darzo on March 1, 2020, 8:22 pm
I need advice! I'm getting requests from my homeys to please bring them back: #1.A pearl necklace, off-white in color, #2.Miel de Maguey, (blue agave honey) I'm not big into jewelry, and I know nothing about pearls, so if anyone has any tips on where to buy fairly good pearls around here,or in Melaque, I'd appreciate hearing from them. The Miel de Maguey is for my daughter who is always interested in alternative cures for her digestive condition. Blue Aguave honey is also apparently very good for I.B.S.,Crohns disease, etc. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! | ----------------Re: Pearls, Miel de Maguey

I think Costco has it in PDX., but try Semilla.

Thank you, I don't know where Semilla is, is it a store? And PDX, where is that? Sorry for my ignorance, but I really don't know these places.... | ----------------Re: Pearls, Miel de Maguey

I saw a plastic container of miel de Maguey at the Costa Linda tienda kitty corner to the jardin last week. Don't know if it's still there or not. | ----------------Re: Miel de Maguey

Sorry for the garbled response, Darzo. Semilla is a corner store on Maria Asunción about halfway between the Jardín and the yellow bridge. They have a bunch of great stuff in bulk. They like to recycle so bring containers. My PDX reference was about availability in Portland Costco and lots of other places in the US. It is very popular. Lidia may have it, too. Pearls? Never seen them here but have never looked for them. Brenda likes opals.

A lot of the beach vendors have pearls this year so I would guess you could also find them at the tianguis. | ----------------
