Rude awakening last night!

Just so you are informed...there are still certain folks out there that want to get in your homes! Awoke last night to a strange sound, checked that dog and cat were on the bed and the scratching sound still continued! Got up looked in the direction of where it came from and there was a person cutting my screen trying to get in! This person saw me in the shadows and fled and I called a friend with a machete and together we made sure the ratton left the property! And yes, the police have been notified! Nothing taken, only that deep seated fear of...what if I had not heard and this person came in...no doubt the dog would have woken up but then what...someoneone in your house late at night? Just saying, close up! | ----------------Re: Rude awakening last night!

wow - glad you're safe Stephanie. A bit worrisome for folks without a dog, or a dog that welcomes everyone, or a dog that won't make a soound. | ----------------Re: Rude awakening last night!

Thank you, Stephanie, for the notice and I'm glad you notified the police and Delegado. What if is right. I'm sorry you had to experience this. A suggestion for people that could house a dog is maybe 'borrowing' one from Valentin. Anyone have thoughts or ideas on this? It would also help Valentin. This season is showing signs of increased breaking-in activity, Cruz | ----------------Re: Rude awakening last night!

So sorry to hear this bar’s on all windows , plus a dog do add extra security. Income and food insecurity alas sometimes lead to desperation. It has been relayed to me that hill properties become more of a target though the local folk become very upset at hearing about these happenings. Alas, ALL homes need to be effectively and totally secured as security is the best deterrent. So sorry that such an incident caused fear that lasts | ----------------Re: Rude awakening last night!

I actually locked my door last night for the first time ever. Then this morning I couldn't figure out why it didn't open. Time to learn a new habit, I guess. Thanks for the heads-up and sorry about your frightening experience. | ----------------Security cams amazon/MX

I have several, all my neighbors know they are there. Small price to pay for safety and peace of mind... | ----------------
