Holy Smokerinies! I was there Thursday, and it was nothing like this. Be in touch when you get through it all, David and Debbie. Bien viaje. xxoo | ----------------Re: Vallarta Airport

Having Facebook as a source is about the same (or worse) as having no source at all. If true its facepalm | ----------------Re: Vallarta Airport

Excellent sourcing Ilene! Verifying information has never been more important as is clarifying information e.g. in this case "This was only for a few hours, since after noon the place was normalized". Article translated Just remembered I could have done a reverse image search on the photo to find the source https://images.google.com/ https://tineye.com/ Strangely enough neither search is giving any matches at the moment. Maybe its not in their database yet. I don't do Facebook but have noticed that some who do use it are not in the habit of sourcing things in the same way many do on other platforms. It is vitally important (especially if you are going to share the info) to reduce false information and give a pathway for finding more information. | ----------------Re: Vallarta Airport

We were there Saturday morning and with the guidance of the Mexican Airline wheelchair help we made it through the throngs. These people are phenomenal at finding a way through and so eager to help. The man who first approached me in the Air Canada lineup saw that I was using a cane and asked if I needed a wheelchair. The processing of customers had not started yet. I was working with an online generated boarding pass that I could not designate wheelchair required and lined up to speak to an agent. I was told by the man who approached me that there were 600 passengers from a cruise ship in another part of the airport being processed for flight home. Just getting around would have been difficult since you started on ground level went up to security and downstairs again to board the bus to the plane. Having someone to even guide you through to maze is a help. | ----------------Re: Vallarta Airport

Yup I was there...care to play where’s Waldo? Absolutely nuts but everyone was very upbeat and polite. (Airline staff and passengers) WestJet plane we got on to had just arrived from Victoria with only 12 passengers on board. | ----------------Re: Vallarta Airport

"everyone was very upbeat and polite. (Airline staff and passengers)" That is something the photo does not convey, the mood. So glad to hear it was upbeat and polite! | ----------------Re: Vallarta Airport

Dave and I just did PVR yesterday. It was fine. No lineup at all to check in at Delta. And yes- tbey were unloading cruise ships at the PV terminal to try to get folks back to where they belong. There were 2 large ships and 1 smaller. The airport seemed no different than any other time to us. | ----------------Re: Vallarta Airport

Our son and his wife flew out Saturday night. They said the airport was empty and their flight left a half hour early | ----------------
