The governor of the state of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro, reported this Saturday that phase 0 will be extended for 15 more days in the state.
"On the recommendation of the health committee, phase 0 is extended for 15 more days, and if people do not do their part, not only will we not advance, but we run the risk of retreating," said the local president in a video broadcast in social networks.
He added that there are conditions to continue with the gradual reopening of businesses in the face of the Covid-19 crisis , and explained that the companies that are part of the supply chain of essential activities will resume operations from June 1.
“Our State cannot stand any more paralyzed. Today we have to make difficult decisions. If we did it on the basis of public health criteria, we would have to keep our economy closed and that simply is no longer possible (...) it will have to start coexisting with risk, there is no other way to do it, "he said.
The Jalisco governor noted that the entity is facing an acceleration phase of infections. "The last 15 days we did not do things well and we are paying the consequences," he said.

He reported that the state will make its own local traffic light with indicators of active cases, hospital occupation and mobility and the results will be evaluated on June 15.
Alfaro said that Jalisco will apply 56,000 tests in the public sector and 5,000 more from private companies. He announced that spaces for voluntary isolation will be made available for those who have the virus, but do not require hospital care.
The president criticized the federal government's decision not to apply tests. "Irresponsibly and with absurd pretexts, imposed by Undersecretary López-Gatell , they decided that the passive and random model of the so-called sentinel had as one of its basic principles to block the importation of rapid tests," he mentioned.
