It bothered me that the Jalisco government only publishes Covid-19 statistics by municipio/municipality, because knowing that someone somewhere in La Huerta had contracted the virus wasn't very useful. Here in La Manzanilla, some of the people who unknowingly were infected have publicized this fact, in a effort to help others who might have come into contact with them. Of course, in a town as small as this one, I'd guess that everyone has at least passed by everyone else at some point.
Despite the fact that contact tracing will probably never happen here, I could identify everyone with whom I've had personal contact over the past four months, if for no other reason than to notify them if I ever get sick. (This is what we were supposed to do about STDs...when we were younger...) In addition to all the other precaucionary measures, I think it's a good idea to maintain a list (in our heads or on paper), wherever we are.
