the post between Carol's and mine.
It is both legal and ethical to link to Facebook post.
The main idea of a link is to validate the source of information.
Validation of the source is very important!
You can summarize a source but copy paste of all of it is considered
in bad taste without a link to the source. They deserve credit
for both their information and the effort they made to share it.
If you quote a source and you don't know how to link then you should
give the name of the Facebook group and the name of the poster
(or name of the website and journalist) so others can verify the
information.
The Internet is built on links, not knowing how to link is like
having a car and not knowing how to turn left. You will be able
to do quite a bit but your not going to use the full potential of the car.
Linking is so easy that once you learn how to do it you will
wonder why you waited to learn.
At the top of every web page, Facebook page etc. is the address bar.
The address (URL) starts with http:// or https://, if you click on it
it will burn blue, you right click and select copy. Next you go
to the white space on the message board where you post a message,
put the mouse arrow in that white space and left click, then right
click and select paste.
Now click preview and you should see the newly created link. That's it!
