I just tried calling a couple of numbers from my land line and found that a recording tells me the number no existe. But, I tried putting the 315 area code first and the calls went through. Go figure! | ------------Re: Land line phones

Telmex changed to 10 digit dialing when they changed stopped using 41 / 42 for cell phones. They probably stopped allowing 7 digits now you must dial all 10. Area code, prefix and line number. | ------------Re: Land line phones

The 044/045 prefixes were dropped last year on August 3 when dialing from a landline to a cellphone. I called a local friend's Telmex number from mine yesterday, dialling only seven digits. So this new system just went into effect today? | ------------Re: Land line phones

It will probably be resolved soon, I can't imagine having to dial 10 digits to get the local store | ------------
