Hello to all in our wonderful community, unfortunately some people from town have symptoms of Covid-19 and are not receiving help from the government. They are not helping with ambulance. They are not helping with test for them. Just told them to stay at home with Paracetamol. So Josefina Padilla Osorio spoke to a lab in Guadalajara they said 40 Covid-19 test for $1300 USD which is approximately $29,000 pesos. A lab test cost $1100 in Melaque. Some of us can pay that, some of us cannot. It would be awesome that we can get together $29,000 pesos for 40 test and have them with The Ambulance of La MANZANILLA ir at the centro de salud. For people that cannot afford the test. Valerie Denford. Let's setup a way people can donate so that Josefina can order these test. Please share!! Someone who is willing to receive cash donations and a bank account number or something. All ideas are great please help | ------------Re: Covid-19

If you have symptoms you can get a lab test done for $1100 pesos in Melaque after 10 days of symptoms I think. But as soon you have symptoms get medical help so that it can be controlled | ------------Re: Covid-19

I was hoping to.never see this here. 😷 A ride inside a vehicle of any kind with an a symptomatic person could pass it along to the driver or anyone who rides in the vehicle after they leave. The auto must be totally disinfected. The test in the USA are about 40% effective and you could get a test today and it shows nothing and tomorrow it will be a different story. The test are very different for antibodies in the blood, and nasal swab for the active virus. Either have low effective rates. It would be better to have a healthcare person come her to give the rest and arrange for the samples to go back with them for the results. If they have symptoms, they should be isolating from other family members and washing hands FREQUENTLY and wearing an N95 with a surgical one over it and not going out. I just came back the USA where I stayed with my daughter who is an RN doing triage at SCRIPPS hospitals in San Diego area. This virus is very contagious an should not be taken lightly.

Tests are available in Melaque and we are trying to get them here at Centroid de Salud through Dr. Diego, Chuey and Jeanne! Fransico suggested, although he has no part in this as a job responsibility that if you feel unwell or suspect you may have, go to Centro de Salud here first and if I’ll then go on the Cinuatlan and he will go with you! However, if you are Covid positive you have to go to the Covid hospital in Autlan! The ambulances in town cannot by law transport patients with Covid! It is illegal! The closest Covid ambulance is in Autlan..so good luck with that! What else....this info was gathered through many calls today with folks effected, possibly! It has also been said the person who is referred to as having Covid like symptoms only has pneumonia but is indeed very sick! His family and neighbors are all in isolation and two are having antibody tests as they seem to be asymptomatic! But nevertheless could be contagious... So folks...please be careful, wear masks..I have seen many expats this past weekend out and about sans masks? Why? | ------------Re: Covid-19

I have a truck and can put a mattress in the back. However I would need a driver until I know where I am going. That could minimize exposure to driver and possibly more comfortable for the patient...just thinking out loud. | ------------Re: Covid-19

So the person who is very ill has gotten a Covid-19 test done in the hospital of La Huerta. So luckily La Huerta is helping out with the testing. The results will be back in 5 days. Yes let's be safe, stay home only go out when necessary. Practice social distance and always have a face mask on. Wash hands frequently and use antibacterial gel. Stay home if you have any symptoms, isolated. | ------------Re: Covid-19

Hello Heidi I have not found someone to take donations. Since at the hospital in la Huerta they are doing the tests for free. And speaking to Doctors they have said that rapid Covid-19 testing isn't all that accurate you can email me if you have anymore questions mbrambila27@yahoo.com
