Possibly an indication that the beach is the safest place? Harvard biomedical engineering professor to launch nasal spray that could reduce COVID-19 transmission risk "It’s a saline mixture (essentially a “salty mist”) that contains no drugs, and is instead directed from naturally occurring salts that are most often found in sea water. The mist, when delivered via deep nasal inhalation in misted form, has been shown in peer-reviewed research published on Tuesday by Sensory Cloud in medical journal QRB Discovery to clean upper human airways of particles that are less than a micron in size that aren’t typically filtered out by most conventional mask designs". https://techcrunch.com/2020/07/08/harvard-biomedical-engineering-professor-to-launch-nasal-spray-that-could-reduce-covid-19-transmission-risk/ | ------------Re: Beach air is safest air?

Watch out moderator, there is a scientist lurking out there. I was verbally eviscerated in a prior posting for suggesting that there may be some efficacy in using Hypochlorous acid as a nasal spray. I do not have any credentials, I am not a scientist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypochlorous_acid It is saltwater spray........... beach on!! | ------------Re: Beach air is safest air?

Well it was tested on 10 people so its got that going for it. This is the clean way of reducing COVID, I prefer to coat my airways with a good layer of nicotine and kill it on contact!

That's the best news I've heard about smoking cigarettes since people started getting so uppity about it 40(?) Years ago. | ------------Re: Beach air is safest air?

Yeah, its like the ultimate conformation bias. "I knew there was a reason I didn't quit smoking, I just had a strange feeling that someday it was going to somehow turn out to be beneficial" ....... | ------------Beach spray could carry the virus

Virus Expert: Surfing May Increase Your Risk of Getting the Coronavirus GNARLY Blake Montgomery Reporter Updated Apr. 01, 2020 1:20AM ET / Published Mar. 31, 2020 9:43PM ET REUTERS A scientist at the University of California San Diego is telling surfers to stop shredding to reduce their risk of contracting COVID-19, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Kim Prather, who researches how the ocean sprays bacteria and viruses into the air, told the paper that ocean breezes may carry the drops of saliva and other fluids far: “Surfers are saying that they’re safe if they stay six feet away from other people, but that’s only true if the air isn’t moving...Most of the time, there’s wind or a breeze at the coast. Tiny drops of virus can float in the air and get blown around.” She advised other would-be beachgoers to refrain as well. “If you don’t care about your own life, that’s one thing. But this can be a matter of life or death to other people,” she said. Read it at San Diego Union-Tribune | ------------Re: Beach spray could carry the virus
