It came on with a trickle. I spoke with my gardener he said the water in the well are really low because we have had no substantial rain | ------------Re: City water

By "middle school," do you mean the primaria on Maria Asuncion before the arroyo bridge, or the telesecundaria on Lazaro Cardenas? If the former, one of your problems might be that an enormous cistern was built two lots away from me to pump water up to Gringo Gulch--adding insult to injury in a neighborhood that is always short on water. | ------------Re: City water

Maybe you could steal some water from the Gringos late at night. | ------------Re: City water

But then I would have to walk up a steep, rocky hill in the dark...and back down again! I'm also a Gringa, with Gringo/a friends who live in Gringo Gulch. I just happen to live in a Mexican neighborhoood, where I and my neighbors never have enough water, presumably because most of it goes to Tamarindos or, lately, uphill to the 'rich district.' | ------------Re: City water

Imagine living in a Mexican neighborhood in Mexico. Very rare here | ------------Re: City water

I've lived in Mexico for more than 18 years and, except for a few months, I've always lived in a Mexican neighborhood, rented from a Mexican landlord (except for one American-to-American barter situation), and paid my rent in pesos. During those few months, when I lived in my future husband's ritzy house in San Miguel, we were robbed blind during a vacation in La Manzanilla. So we moved into a Mexican neighborhood, where we lived happily ever after until his sudden, accidental death. I would'nt have it any other way. In fact, in about six weeks I'll move to another Mexican neighborhood in La Manz, where there is a steady supply of water. | ------------Re: City water

Yeah, if only it would rain! Oh no, but then my street will turn into an impassable, muddy, raging river with exposed underground pipes...until the folks uphill in Gringo Gulch hire the bulldozer guy to fix it so that they can get into town. For this reason alone, I really do appreciate them. | ------------
