Thank you Rebecca, excellent posting! Bottom link translated Hypertension continues to lead as the most frequent co-morbidity suffered by people who have died from COVID-19 in Jalisco: It is reported in 53 percent of the 1,147 confirmed deaths to date. The second place is occupied by diabetes, present in 42 percent of reported deaths. And it is common for affected people to suffer from both diseases. The figures show the vulnerability of chronic patients to the attack of the new coronavirus and it is recognized by experts and health authorities that especially people with hypertension and / or uncontrolled diabetes are more susceptible to complications since SARS infection -CoV-2 affects not only the respiratory system, but all organs. That is why people with chronic diseases are considered a vulnerable group and it is recommended that they stay home as long as possible, so as not to expose themselves to infections, since they are at greater risk than the healthy general population. However, this group should not neglect their usual treatments, both for hypertension, diabetes and other chronic conditions, and it is recommended that they continue with the care and practice of healthy habits: balanced diet, regular exercise, sufficient sleep and combat stress. . Additionally, preventive measures must be followed in the face of COVID-19, such as the proper use of the mouth mask in public space, which must avoid or remain for a short period of time, seeking a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from other people. Following these measures reduces the risk for this vulnerable group and for the general population, which also protects the sick, elderly and pregnant women when taking care of themselves. In any case, before symptoms such as fever that does not subside or respiratory distress, it is important to immediately go to a health unit, in order to avoid complications from this new infectious disease. Today, the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) reported 755 new infections of COVID-19, which accumulates 21,033 confirmed cases since last March when the first patient was reported in this entity. Of the total, this Monday 2,907 active cases are reported (positive people who started with symptoms in the last fourteen days). In Jalisco, 1,232 people recovered from the disease are reported, of whom there is complete certainty of their recovery (either by a negative test or by epidemiological clinical criteria). This Tuesday, the SSJ reported 42 more deaths from COVID-19 (deaths occurred between June 5 and July 15 of this year); which accumulates 1,147 deaths confirmed by the SARS-CoV-2 infection. Of these deaths that occurred in the state, 1,117 correspond to residents of 63 municipalities of Jalisco; and 30 to residents of other entities in the country who died here. The deaths reported today are distributed as follows: New deaths

I wanted to separate this from the post above. "Hypertension continues to lead as the most frequent co-morbidity" I had to look up the word hypertension as I have not noticed that mentioned in other COVID information. It means high blood pressure. "they continue with the care and practice of healthy habits: balanced diet, regular exercise, sufficient sleep and combat stress." Stress and high blood pressure go hand in hand. I am noticing a big difference in the words being used in updates. We are all learning and progressing.
