This is a time of mixed emotions for me as September is
my favorite month, and the sun setting over the palms means
the return of the snow birds.
Don't get me wrong, the people who come here for 6 months of the
year are almost equally precious as the locals who live here.
They are generous, kind, fun, the town is lucky to have such
good people.
But the sun over the palms also means the upcoming dry season,
cooler weather, cooler oceans, shorter days, the holidays and
all that they bring.
I know many of you are wondering weather or not you are going
to come here this season due to the COVID thing. If I may make
a prediction based on the way things are now ....
Right now less than 2% of people are wearing a mask, I don't
even know where my mask is. Of all the information I have digested
on COVID over the past 6 months or so one thing sticks out in
my mind. It is the closing statement of the reporter covering
the story of COVID in Mexico "This virus is both everything and Nothing".
So my guess is that you will decide to come here, you will deal
with all of the hoops, bells and whistles to get here. When you
are here you may start to self isolate for two weeks to protect
the community, but my guess is you don't make it past day 4 before
you drop into the groove that is happening here, and realize that
this year may be 10% different than your visit last year, at most.
IMO
P.S. Random did another beauty tonight, love their art!
