There are now a couple of questionable Covid-19 cases in town. In one case they are not talking but ordered oxygen. In the other case, a doctor will be examining the person tomorrow for diagnosis and treatment, depending. Also, someone said that Stefanie reported a potential case on FaceBook.
All I'm saying is that in LM we may be starting another round of infections. Be alert and careful as we have had many visitors and our own residents traveling out and back from LM. Also individuals that are asymptomatic may be able to infect any of us.
Paul and/or not Josefina reported on La Manzanilla Life that he/they recently tested positive for Covid-19 antibodies. This was a follow-up test, one they had had before, to verify, since the test is not 100% reliable that indeed the earlier test results were correct. This means Paul and Josefina have already contracted and survived the virus.
This is to clarify that Paul did not report having an active case of Covid-19 now. They are neither able to infect others and may be safe from contracting the virus from others and they don't need to quarantine.
I spoke to the Delegado today on how important it is that people report to the community when they get the bug as was done by Paul and Josefina several weeks ago.
I asked if he would make the suggestion to the community for this on Facebook, but he is afraid to do so. I told him it is just information that can be provided and given anonymously. That way we know and can be more cautious and more town residents will revert to wearing those masks again to help keep contagion in town down.
If you see the Delegado, and agree with me, please let him know that making a suggestion to the community for everyone's safety is not dangerous. He can be so scared sometimes. We don't need names just cases. Cruz
