Re: Where are you?
Believe me, we would love to be in L.M. . We miss the friends we have made over the years, the kids , the old folks, everyone In between, the food the weather, the beach the ocean our little house and garden, the beautiful vibe of Mexico, but there are a few details that have us holding back. Some of them are verified and some are hearsay, some are posts on this board and they all raise concerns. Are people taking the pandemic seriously?. If we did get sick while we are there, is there treatment available? Would we be stressing the health system? We read that the restaurants are restricted to short hours of service and limited customer space. There were lineups last year for some of our favourite restaurants, how will they handle the high season? If we were to become seriously ill, would we be able to fly home? etc. Here in Canada, our chief health officer Bonnie Henry says that one thing we can do to slow the spread of Covid is to stay at home and avoid all but essential travel. We are not "living in fear" , but want to be responsible and informed and appropriately cautious . Please convince me that we should look for a flight. Thanks
