Re: Where are you?
I fully agree with Jacquie and not so much with Ani; I am following the recommendations of our health professionals, this has nothing to do with fear but everything to do with caution. At this point in my life, I want to be around for years to come and taking a unnecessary chance right now does not appear to be my best decision. It would appear that shamming someone into making travel plans is a poor choice to living one's life. I can appreciate Rojo's approach of being there and living is a choice, and had I stayed in the spring, it would have been mine but I did not. I want to return when I feel comfortable and safe and not sooner. Yes, I miss all the aspects of LM but not to the extent that I am willing to gamble on my future health. It would appear that we have less covid active cases on Vancouver Island than you do in LM. Even if we had the same, we also have 850,000 people, several world class medical centers (of which not one has a covid patient presently). It is about the odds, I now like our odds. We have had three back to back clear cold days (no rain) and you are having fantastic weather, I fully realize that but with a very high percentage of people social distancing plus mask wearing, again it is the odds. Please don't shame or talk down to people who care for their health more than the weather. Thank you.
