I also live in the state of Jalisco. I have been trying to decide whether it is safe to return to La Manz which I have paid for and really love, this winter.
As a guest in the country of Mexico, when the Governor makes his rules that he expects the residents to abide by, I do as requested.
Reading some of the posts really surprised me regarding the attitude of some people really not appearing to take this virus seriously.
Especially, the post by Stephanie who wrote about the Dr who told her that the 1st floor of the hospital where she works in Guanajuato is now a morgue . The Dr was surprised to see the lack of masks and the number of buses and people coming in from many other parts of Mexico.
That being said,
I was very shocked to read that the deaths from Covid in Mexico (the country where I live and love ) is the #1 killer.

I was told that at Easter time, there was someone checking on people from coming to La Manzanilla to prevent spreading of Covid. Perhaps I am incorrect.
