Re: survey .. winter residents of La Manz
Since Charlie's heading asks " who is not coming and reads the message board " I am weighing in. Alison and I decided to stay until we know more about the situation. One big concern is , if we should be one of the unlucky ones and become ill, how would that play out being there versus being here. So we are here, and actually , so far, it's just fine. On the rainy days I have a warm house heated by a wood stove and have lots of firewood, good books , nice guitars and of coarse THE INTERNET!. On sunny days we bundle up and take walks on the beach and have short visits with neighbours out doors and comfortablly distanced. When I need groceries and mail, our businesses all require masks to enter and a limit on the number of customers at any one time and the shop keepers are either masked or shielded. As far as I know there are no cases on our little island.I miss our place in La Manzanilla and our friends and the food and the ocean etc. but it's far from unpleasant here. I hope everyone has a wonderful winter wherever you are. And yes Daniel makes me laugh.
