Everardo's cataract operation occured on Wednesday, 01/20/21, at 2:30 PM after waiting since 11:00 AM. It was successful. Phew!
The Doctor had a difficult time removing the thickened cataract that was very old in development.
Everardo still can't see anything except light and will have blurred vision up to 10 more days because the difficult removal caused added inflammation.
On the next day's follow-up exam, a second drop was added to his regimen and the Doctor was happy with Everardo's progress.
a younger patient that had been operated on at the same time as Eve greeted us in the waiting room. He walked in unaided and he was already starting to see. I'm sure Eve wished he could see a little more too.
Tonight, Friday, Eve continues to be in good spirits and reported that he could see even more light and he was elated.
Everardo appreciates all the help, support and good wishes he has received and is especially thankful to the family that provided the operation. It is giving him a second life. A big, big thank you to all and (love}.
I hope I can include a couple of before and after pictures of Eve with this report. Cruz
