My search started with David Dagoli's link to a CNN article which I was highly critical of (and still am as it is a fear / money / profit based article from a for shit source), but which got me thinking when I read in the graphic (not the article) that the lower grade mask were to protect others and not oneself.
I remember several months back when some were putting up graphics and saying "I protect you and you protect me" and not getting it at all. In my cynical world it was bullshit, people were wearing mask to protect themselves, period.
I did not get that from nowhere, it is included in the Wikipedia article "In a May 27 interview with CNN, Fauci urged Americans to wear face masks in public as a sign of "respect" for others, and stated that he had been doing so himself "[because] I want to protect myself and protect others,......"
Anyway, the point I am trying to make (along with a semi interesting read about the history of the mask) is that learning and discovery come from conversation, from someone willing to put themselves out there enough to make a statement and receive the praise or criticism (either way) that come from doing so.
And so, thank you David.
